"With a baby on the way, there are many things you need to know to make your childbirth safer, easier, and  to take proper care of your newborn baby. The Childbirth Education Program at FoxCare is here to fill that need."
The Childbirth Education Program at A.O. Fox Hospital is staffed by trained professionals, experienced in childbirth education. The program is a series of six  2-hour evening sessions, held Thursday evenings.
What You Will Learn

Over the six weeks in the course, you will become familiar with the following topics:

  • What happens to your body during labor
  • How to exercise the muscles involved in childbirth
  • What to do when labor starts
  • Comfort measures to use during labor and birth
  • How to control your breathing
  • How to recognize the stages of labor and make use of them
  • How your coach can help and participate in the birth
  • What to prepare for your hospital stay
  • How to care for your baby
  • Newborn nutrition
Getting Started

We recommend you sign up three months before your due date. If space is limited, priority will be given to those delivering at A.O. Fox Hospital.

Course fees:

PCAP and MOMS patients: Your fee has been paid.

Patients delivering at A.O. Fox Hospital:

  • Complete Course $30.00
  • Refresher Course (2nd, 3rd, 4th week only) $15.00

All other patients:

  • Complete Course $40.00
  • Refresher Course (2nd, 3rd, 4th week only) $20.00
