"Having a child is one of life's key, life-changing events. The effect is eternal, irreversible-a living being created from ourselves. Fox Maternity and Nursery Services is here to help you enjoy your birthing experience, while providing up-to-date birthing and nursery medical care."
The Maternal and Nursery Care Service  consists of three well-appointed, comfortable   labor/delivery suites, seven post partum beds, and eight bed nursery, and two observation beds.  Also available is a family waiting room.  A jacuzzi is available for pain relief during labor as well. The service has about 350 deliveries a year.
A Choice of Providers

Fox offers deliver services by Nurse Midwives, Board Certified Obstetricians, and Family Practitioners.

Infant care is provided by Child and Adolescent Health Care Associates, a group of board certified pediatricians.

Our nursing staff are all registered nurses (RN), many of whom have achieved specialty certification in Inpatient Obstetrical Nursing.

 

A Family Oriented Approach

Fox understands that the birth of a child is an extension of the family process.  Loaboring mothers are allowed two coaches during delivery, and after delivery, grandparents and siblings my visit from 8:00 a.m.. until 10:00 p.m...  For other visiting hours and other unit policies, please see our FAQ.

A Car Seat For Every Newborn

Every newborn discharged from Fox Hospital must ride home in a car seat. If you do not own a car seat, we can help provide you with one through our Car Seat Program

Parent Education

Fox offers several programs to help prepare you for your new job as a parent:

  • The Childbirth Education Program - helps to prepare you for what to expect during late pregnancy, labor, delivery,  and afterwards. A must for every couple expecting a child.
  • The 1,2,3,4 Parents! Program- offering information on child development, bonding, non-violent discipline skills, childproofing, and much more.
