NETLinks:    We've gotten more f--l--e--x--i--b--l--e!  Our "new and improved" NETLinks weight management program is now designed to fit your changing lifestyle!  Please call us at 431-5454 for more information on exciting changes to this awesome, ongoing program of Nutrition and Exercise Training!

MedLinks:    MedLinks is a unique program offered to those who have special needs related to exercise - originally designed to "bridge the gap" between your hospital-based outpatient treatment and your return to an independent exercise program.   As a participant in this program, you work specifically with a HealthLinks fitness specialist and have limited use of Club facilities during regularly scheduled program times. HealthLinks' exercise specialists, in conjunction with your medical providers, monitor exercise progress in this 1-hour session of varied exercise, offered 2 or 3 times weekly to program participants. Cardiovascular exercise on bikes, treadmills, and other equipment is combined with resistance training and other specifically designed exercises to help you recover safely from debilitating injury or illness. Your HealthLinks fitness specialist plans a program of exercises that takes into account your overall physical fitness, medical condition, and desired goals. A referral from your physician or clinical provider, clearly stating your medical diagnosis, is required for this program and should be updated regularly during program participation.

Stability Ball Training Class:     This 6-week class explores the development of a variety of fitness components with a focus on the stability ball as the central piece of exercise equipment. Participants will practice dynamic whole body movement patterns, balance and stabilization techniques, and body core development.  This is a progressive class for beginners - over the 6-week period, participants will experience development in muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility.   The focus of the Stability Ball Training Class is on "functional fitness" - it is also a great complement to any exercise routine and a lot of fun! The class meets one time per week for 6 weeks; payment is required at the time of registration.

BoneLinks @ FoxCare:    HealthLinks' Osteoporosis program. Designed for the individual who has been diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis, this 6-week program provides valuable information regarding this "silent disease" ranging from nutrition to the most effective exercise training regimen.  The program includes an introductory education session, a personal training session focused on the development of an individualized exercise plan, and 2 weekly group exercise sessions with a qualified HealthLinks exercise specialist. Participants are encouraged to obtain a referral to the program from their physician or other clinical specialist.  Please call HealthLinks at 431-5454 for more information or to register for this valuable program.

Educational/Fitness Seminars:
The HealthLinks Fitness Staff routinely offers specialty seminars in an educational format to both members and non-members.  Specialized topics are discussed while also permitting those in attendance to take an active role in the class.  Many classes encourage hands-on training and experimentation.  Examples of previous educational seminars include "Dispelling Strength Training Myths", "Exercise & Aging: What Your Body Needs to Know", and "Introduction to Water Exercise". Seminars are free of charge and open to both members and non-members.

Women's Strength Training:    Designed specifically for women by women. This 6-week program is designed to alleviate the intimidation weight training brings to many women.  HealthLinks fitness specialists explain and demonstrate the fundamentals of weight training.  Discover why strength training plays such an important role to women's health at any age. Small class size ensures personal attention and a strong group dynamic.

Teen Strength Training:    This 6-week program is designed to provide teens with basic education and practical guidelines for safe and effective strength training.  In a small group setting, HealthLinks' fitness specialists demonstrate and explain the importance of proper technique and smart use of Club facilities.  Open to both members and non-members.

BabyLinks:    HealthLinks @ FoxCare presents BabyLinks, a new pre- and post-natal program designed for the expectant mother. Learn how to develop healthy fitness habits before and after your baby's arrival. This 8-week program will include one educational session and one independent exercise session each week each week at HealthLinks @ FoxCare. Facilitated by exercise specialist (and new mom) Mary Hansen. Open to members and non-members.
