Admission
![]() Arrangements for admission are made through one of the nursing home social workers. A resident can only be admitted on the order of his or her physician. All residents will be admitted and treated withou regard to race, creed, color, national origin, sex, handicap, marital status, source of payment or sexual preference. Financial arrangements must be made prior to admission. The two most common sources of long term care payments are individual funds or Medicaid. If a resident qualifies, Medicare will pay for limited lengths of time. A coverage determination will be made upon admission. We require that all residents, regardless of their physical or mental capabilities, arrange for someone to have power of attorney (POA), to act in their behalf should this become necessary. We hope to involve your family in the nursing home and will be inviting them to a family conference shortly after your admission.
