FSA's main goal is to support individual and family strengths and to assist area residents in meeting their own needs. Services offered include a clothing room from which area residents may select needed items for themselves and their famiy members. As a liason to the Oneonta Clothing Guild, funds are available to purchase new items of clothing for children in the Oneonta School District with the focus on sneakers, boots, and snowpants. Assistance is offered to those with emergency medication and prescription needs. Tokens for public transportation to assist families to use emergency food banks, get to the DSS, and to look for jobs, housing, or to assist children in school are available. There is a hygiene cupboard available to help families with hygiene and cleaning supplies if they have no way to purchase their own. FSA also offers housing search assistance.
